Washington University

Washington University in St. Louis’ campuses are located near the cultural center of St. Louis, surrounded by and adjacent to museums, performance venues, vibrant entertainment and dining districts, one of the nation’s largest civic parks, and beautiful, tree-lined neighborhoods rich in history and diversity.

The 169-acre Danforth Campus is at the heart of Washington University and is the academic home to the majority of the university’s undergraduate, graduate and professional students. The Danforth Campus features predominantly Collegiate Gothic architecture in its academic buildings, and is bordered by Forest Park and the cities of St. Louis, Clayton and University City.

Attendees will be responsible for making their own hotel reservations. AAHHE has reserved blocks of rooms for conference attendees at Le Meridien and The Charles F. Knight Executive Conference Center on campus. The hotels below are only preferred hotels and come recommended. There are several hotels and airbnb options close by campus, and we highly recommend the below for your stay in St. Louis. Be sure to book early for the best rate!

Parking Instructions, Directions to Campus, Uber/Lyft Drop Off & Pick Up Location

  • For those driving to campus, please use the Danforth University Center Subsurface Parking Garage (Identified as #200) on the Washington University Campus Map.  It can be accessed via Wallace Drive off of Forsyth Boulevard. Please park in the visitor area (blue level which is the first level and ramp leading to the second level of the Danforth Underground Garage).
  • After parking take the north stair/elevator to the main campus exit and head towards Seigle Hall (identified as #166), Simon Hall (#168), or Risa Commons (#331).
  • Please come by the registration desk to request a parking validation ticket that you can use when exiting the garage free of charge. Please retrieve these at the registration desk.

Participants can access free WiFi by selecting the "WUSTL guest" wifi throughout the entire campus.
