The Latina Leadership Institute (LLI), hosted by AAHHE, is a dynamic professional development program designed to cultivate and elevate Latina leaders in higher education. This intimate and impactful series provides essential leadership training, live engagement with experts and peers, and a trusted environment for open dialogue and connection. Tailored for early- to mid-career Latina professionals in higher education, this institute aims to empower participants by enhancing their leadership skills, fostering a deeper understanding of their cultural identities, and equipping them to navigate and excel in academic and administrative roles.

Program Dates & Format

  • Duration: July - October, 2025
  • Session Dates:
    • Friday, July 18, 2025
    • Friday, August 8, 2025
    • Friday, September 12, 2025
    • Friday, October 10, 2025
  • Time: 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM ET (2.5 hours each session)
  • Format: Live virtual sessions via Zoom
  • Total Contact Hours: 10 hours

  • Certificate of Completion awarded to participants who complete the full program.

  • Interactive Format: Sessions will feature expert facilitators Dr. Azara Santiago Rivera and Dr. Patricia Arredondo, breakout rooms for small-group discussion, and opportunities for participants to engage in live dialogue with peers.
  • Networking Opportunities: Connecting with fellow Latina professionals in higher education.
  • Recordings & Resources: Participants receive access to all session recordings and supplemental materials to revisit and reinforce key concepts. All live sessions are recorded, and recordings will be made available only to registered participants for 6 months after the completion of the program.
  • Confidentiality Commitment: The LLI provides a safe and respectful space where all participants can share experiences and engage in candid dialogue. By participating, you agree to uphold the confidentiality and integrity of shared content within the cohort. Participants are required to complete a confidentiality agreement and a recording and rebroadcasting agreement before participating in the program.

This program is open to anyone interested in advancing their leadership development in a collaborative and culturally affirming environment.

Space is limited to 30 participants to ensure quality interaction and engagement, so register early!

Cost

  • AAHHE Members: $425
  • Non-Members: $500
