2023-2024 AAHHE Faculty Fellowship Program

The AAHHE Faculty Fellowship Program’s (FFP) primary goal is to prepare Latina/o/x faculty for successful careers in academia and beyond by increasing the number of tenured and promoted Latina/o/x faculty. The program is geared towards new faculty who are beyond their first year on the tenure-track. Towards this end, program sub-goals include to:

  1. Provide strategies to assist tenure-track faculty in achieving their scholarly and career goals;
  2. Build community and network with other Latina/o/x faculty; and
  3. Develop future leaders who are dedicated to uplifting their communities.

To be considered, applicants must: a) be a Latina/o/x enrolled in a tenure-track position beyond year 1 by the start of FFP; and b) exhibit a track record of service and fem/mentoring to the Latina/o/x community. Upon acceptance into the program, Faculty Fellows are required to become AAHHE active members.

AAHHE Faculty Fellows are required to attend and actively participate in all FFP events. The FFP program will begin in September 2023 with a virtual welcome/orientation followed by monthly webinars held from October 2023 through March 2024. With a culminating experience at the AAHHE National Conference. A comprehensive list of FFP webinar dates and times will be included in the selection letter. Additionally, Faculty Fellows will be required to attend select events during the AAHHE National Conference taking place in March 2024.
