Dr. Anthony De Jesús is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work and Equitable Community Practice and Director of the MSW Program at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT. He received and undergraduate degree (BSW) from Dominican College, an MSW from the Boston University School of Social Work and an Ed.M. and Ed.D. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Anthony previously served as an Assistant Professor at the Silberman School of Social Work and a Researcher and Interim Director at the Center for Puerto Rican Studies at Hunter College (CUNY). A former school social worker trained as an education researcher, Anthony has advanced a multidisciplinary research agenda with a focus on issues of culture and identity and access to K-12 and higher education institutions and professions, and access to culturally responsive services in community based mental health, child welfare and youth services.
