Dr. Edith Fernández is a proven administrative professional skilled in building relationships with community leaders, elected and government officials. She has built a reputation as a tireless advocate for postsecondary education.  Edith has substantial experience in the field of higher education with expertise in institutional research, student success initiatives, and strategic collaborations as well as significant marketing and organizational leadership skills. Her career in higher education spans twenty-five years working with community college and university students from Minority Serving Intuitions. Currently, she is an executive leader at Nevada State College as Vice President for College and Community Engagement. Dr. Fernández is known for her inspiring keynote engagements including leadership and development training. Edith is a proud Nevada native and has worked at three of the six public higher education institutions in Nevada.  She received her master’s from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
