Governance Committee

The Governance Committee is in charge of:

  • Providing strategic direction and oversight of the organization infrastructure including Board operations
  • Overseeing the nomination and election process of new members to the Board, election of Board officers, as well as the leadership and membership of the Standing Committees
  • Addressing gaps in competencies and demographic representation
  • Facilitating performance self-evaluation of the Board, and the organization’s management service
  • Making recommendations to the Board
The Committee shall be the steward of AAHHE’s Bylaws and policies; and periodically review and/or propose any changes or amendments to the Association’s Bylaws and policies, as needed.
